​​Oral Presentations​

Note for Oral Abstract Presenters: Please refer to your abstract scheduling notification email or refer to the Interactive Scientific Program for the number of minutes allocated to your presentation.

All MASCC 2016 Invited, Sponsored and Oral Presentation speakers are requested to submit their presentations on-site to the MASCC/ISOO 2016 Speakers' Ready Room at least 1 hour before the start of your session. The MASCC/ISOO 2016 Speakers' Ready Room will be clearly sign posted at the MASCC/ISOO 2016 Meeting.

Oral ​Proffered Papers Session

​Abstracts scheduled as Proffered Papers are scheduled in Parallel Sessions and are allocated 8 minutes oral presentation followed by 2 minutes discussion. Presentations should be prepared in PowerPoint and limited to 10 SLIDES (including the Title slide).

​​​Presentation Guidelines

If using a PowerPoint (or any other computer) presentation, please note you need to bring it on a CD, a DVD or on a "disk on key" Memory stick (using the USB port in the computer) and load it on one of the conference' computers in the Speakers' Ready Room, at least 1 hour before the start of the session. Please note that the conference computers in the session halls are being supplied with Office 2013. 

If combining video films with PowerPoint, please make sure to check it in the session hall where your lecture is taking place during a co​ffee or lunch break prior to your session, at least 30 minutes before the start of the session - even after checking it in the Speakers' Ready Room. 


Alternatively you may supply your own laptop computer. In such a case please confirm that it has a VGA socket for external signal and come to check it first in the Speakers' Ready Room as soon as you arrive and later on in the session hall where your lecture is taking place during the coffee or lunch break prior to your session, at least 30 minutes before the start of the session.

Important note for Macintosh users:

In order to use MAC p​resentations on a PC compatible computer please note that you need to prepare it according to the instructions below, before bringing it to the Speakers' Ready Room: 

  1. Use a common font, such as Arial, Times New Roman, Verdana etc. (special fonts might be changed to a default font on a PowerPoint based PC). 
  2. Insert pictures as JPG files (and not TIF, PNG or PICT - these images will not be visible on a PowerPoint based PC ). 
​Alternatively you may use your own Macintosh laptop computer. In such a case please confirm you provide it with a VGA adaptor for external signal and come to check it first in the Speakers' Ready Room as soon as you arrive and later on in the session hall where your lecture is taking place during the coffee or lunch break prior to your session, at least 30 minutes before the start of the session.

Please note that VHS Video projection, 35 mm' slide projection and Overhead projection (projection of transparencies) will not be available.​


​e-Posters​

Oral e-Poster Presentations (e-Poster Discussions)

In an effort to highlight the research presented at the meeting and to provide more time for attendees to discuss your poster, the abstracts selected as Oral e-Poster Presentation will be displayed during a special designated scheduled session. During this session you will be expected to be at your poster to p​resent the results of your research with attendees and answer questions. 
Abstracts scheduled as Oral e-Poster Presentations (e-Poster Discussions) are allocated 7 minutes oral presentation followed by 2 minutes discussion. 

Th​e presentation will be facilitated with the use of an electronic poster board, on which Presenters will upload your poster prior to the meeting date. The system will allow you to move around and zoom in on any section (just like a large iPad).

e-Poster Format and Upload 

Information pertaining to the uploading and usage of electronic poster board will be sent to presenters by e-mail 4 weeks before the meeting. 

Discussion, Questions and Answers 

At the end of your presentation you will be asked questions about your abstract. The Chair of your session will facilitate questions from the audience. If English is not your first language, and you need assistance, please bring someone to help you translate.

​​e-Poster Presentations

Th​e presentation will be facilitated with the use of an electronic poster board, on which Presenters will upload your poster prior to the meeting date. The system will allow you to move around and zoom in on any section (just like a large iPad).

e-Poster Viewings

​e-Posters will be on display at the e-Poster stations throughout the entire Annual Meeting. e-Posters Presenters do not have to stand by their e-Posters​, during the breaks, e-Poster authors are requested to be in the e-Poster area, to answer any questions. 
The e-Posters are equipped with a "Contact Author Button" which allows participants to e-mail questions to the author directly.
